"I had an excellent experience working with my insurance agents office, specifically Priscilla Massey. She was knowledgeable, responsive, and took the time to explain all my options clearly. "After being a years-long customer, I am very disappointed in Lezlie Leier--they have become a business that is constantly asking you to do a nice review, which I formerly did. Unfortunately, that previous review was based only on how "good and efficient" they are at taking your money! When I actually had a claim that I was getting a run around from their claims department and asked Lezlie and Holly specifically to help me out, they used that copout of a line, "We're not claim certified." Well neither am I so, as I pointed out to them, they would have a better literacy around explaining the details of the claim and reviewing everything. No such luck. In fact, Lezlie and Holly seem barely literate in terms of what I'm asking of them and now are ignoring me completely. I also learned that they actually sold me the wrong kind of policy from what I specifically asked for/required and Lezlie apparently doesn't even know what policies exist in the insurance world. Yes, it'll be a DORA claim against their agency."

Katie Grove at Leslie Leier’s State Farm agency is the insurance employee everyone with a claim, a problem, or a question would hope to have take charge. After an accident that resulted in my car not being safe to drive, I had been ignored for over two weeks and could not get someone to assess the damage to my car that was sitting on the body shop lot. Calls were not returned from the claims office at the number I was given, and my call to my agent ’s office the first day of the accident I was told to call the national number. I reached Katie at 4:50 on a Friday, sixteen days after my accident, in another effort to determine the fate of my car that had been on the body shop lot all that time. Katie assured me she would look into it immediately. I thought I might get a call Monday if I were lucky. I received a phone call that same Friday night at 6:45 pm from a claims adjuster who told me the total loss department would contact me Monday. Thanks to Katie’s efforts, at least I could finally move forward with information and a plan. Because I had not used a State Farm-approved body shop when I dropped off my car the day after the accident, my car sat on the lot until the body shop manager finally nabbed a State Farm appraiser looking at a different vehicle to assess it. I accrued fees daily at the shop—the final total was $2500. I received a call Monday from Joseph Shenks at the Total Loss Department, who was empathetic as he delivered the bad news and said he was sorry he had not been put in charge of my case earlier.

I don’t know how long I would have been ignored and not had information that I needed to get a new car had it not been for Katie. She has kept me informed and assisted me with the car loss since, including calling to get clarification as to why State Farm w/couldn’t pay the total storage fee (they paid most of it) and facilitating the online loss payment. She has also helped me update my homeowner’s policy to be currently accurate.

I am grateful for Katie’s efficiency, competence and kindness in helping me get my transportation situation resolved. She made everything manageable, and treated me like a person, not a policy number.
